Isaiah 44:1-3

Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, [which] will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

 

1. God knows what You need 

Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb...

Because he made you, he knows exactly what you need. You may think you know what you need. Many xs, you don't. A lot of times, what you want is not what you need. 

At this time some of you may want to be loved. But what you need may be discipline. 

 

2. God is committed to help you 

...which] will help thee

Help is only a prayer away. 

Isaiah 41:10 (KJV) 10 Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

 

Isaiah 50:7 (KJV)

For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

 

3. You are commanded to fear not

Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.

The reason why we fear is because we feel helpless. When you have help, there is nothing to fear. 

( Illustration : suppose you were to write a major exam. But the professor who taught I the class is allowed to sit the exam with you and you're allowed to ask him any questions while you write the exam...)

 

4. Your refreshing is packaged in the Holy Ghost

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

- The Holy Spirit is the one you need

- he is the help and helper God sent to you 

- with his presence, you have nothing to fear

All the help you will ever need in your life is wrapped in the Holy Ghost. 

The greatest need in your life today is the Holy Ghost.

HOW THE HOLY SPIRIT HELPS YOU

​

1. He quickens. 

​

John 6:63 (KJV) 

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, [they] are spirit, and [they] are life.

​

To quicken means to wake up, revive, resuscitate, to inject life into something, bring back to life...

- He quickens your prayer life

   Psalms 80:18 (KJV)

   So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.

   He quickens your prayer life. You cannot pray effectively except the Holy Spirit     quickens you.

- He quickens your Spirit Man

- He quickens your spirit man. Ps. 13:3. If you are not quickened, you will sleep the sleep of death.

- He quickens your Body

Romans 8:11 (KJV)

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

- He quickens dead bodies. Your brain, womb, arteries, muscles, bones etc can be quickened by him. 

Isaac was born out of a dead womb quickened by the Holy Ghost.

2. He boosts your faith

Heb.11:6; 

Faith puts you on a divine wavelength. Faith puts a man in the class of God

​

Mark 9:23 

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth.

​

Matthew 21:21 

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this [which is done] to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

 

HOW FAITH COMES

Rom.10:17- faith comes by hearing and understanding the word of God. When you hear, understand and apply God's word, faith comes.

Faith comes once you understand the word of God and it is the Holy Spirit that helps your understanding.

John 14:26 

But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
